The Ionian Islands have popular destinations such as Corfu, Kefalonia and Zakynthos. Many of the largest resorts and destinations with the most vibrant nightlife are located right in this island chain.

The Cyclades islands have the best range of inhabited islands to visit, with Santorini famous for its white towns and villages, and Mykonos and Paros hosting wonderful beaches.

Day 1: ATHENS – CAPESOUNION – KYTHNOS

Cape Sounion, famous for the ruins of an ancient Greek temple of Poseidon, the god of the sea in classical mythology. The ruins are perched on the promontory, surrounded on three sides by the sea.

Kythnos can claim one of the oldest known dwellings in the Cyclades islands. It has more than 70 beaches, many of which are still inaccessible by road. Of particular note is the incredible crescent-shaped isthmus of fine sand in Kolona and the hot hot springs of Loutrabay.

Day 2: KYTHNOS – SYROS – MYKONOS

Syros is the island where Greek tradition and Western influence come to a harmonious marriage. The capital of the island Ermoupoli was the first major commercial and industrial center of the country in the 19th century. The large number of beautiful beaches will delight lovers of sea and sand.

Mykonos’ nickname is The Island of Winds. Tourism is an important industry and Mykonos is well known for its vibrant nightlife. Mykonos has many bays, which are well protected from the usual north winds, where water sports and snorkeling activities are possible. A walk through the main town, with typical Cycladic houses, alleys and windmills, is strongly recommended.

Day 3: MYKONOS–DELOS–RINIA-PAROS

The island of Delos, near Mykonos, near the center of the Cyclades archipelago, is one of the most important mythological, historical and archaeological sites in Greece. Evidence shows that it has been inhabited since the 3rd millennium BC. At the time of the Odyssey the island was already famous as the birthplace of the twin gods Apollo and Artemis. Rhinia or Rhenea or Rinia, or Rineia also known as Great Delos, is an almost deserted island – a pleasant stopover, to avoid the noise of “civilization”. The unparalleled natural beauty of Paros, the beaches with crystal clear waters, the unparalleled paths that connect traditional villages and breathtaking landscapes make Páros one of the most popular tourist destinations in Greece.

Day 4: PAROS – KOLYMBITHRES (PAROS) – FOLEGANDROS

Kolymbithres is located right in front of the port of Naoussa and offers the perfect bay for swimming and water sports. After the sports activities we suggest having lunch before heading to Folegandros. Folégandros is named after the son of King Minos. This off-the-beaten-path destination captivates visitors with the pristine beauty of its beaches, the blue of its waters and the style of its architecture. The landscape of Folegandros is varied and includes high cliffs and a large cave. The “capital” of the island, Chora, is built on the edge of a cliff 200 meters high. A beautiful village, from where you can enjoy the spectacular sunset in one of the various cafes or taverns. On land, you’ll walk along the cobbled streets of Hóra admiring white houses with multicolored doors and windows, creations of traditional Cycladic architecture.
