Sicily yacht charter – Suggested itinerary for exploring Aeolian Islands. The archipelago of the Aeolian Islands, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, mainly comprises Lipari, Vulcano, Salina, Alicudi, Filicudi, Stromboli and Panarea (with five other small islands: Basiluzzo, Dattilo, Lisca Nera, Bottaro and Lisca Bianca). The lava nature of the Archipelago makes them particularly special, united by an origin of Fire, but extremely different in flora and fauna. Filicudi and Alicudi, are wild and deserted, Lipari and Panarea are gentler and more inhabited, Salina is solitary, and Vulcano and Stromboli are brimming with light, the only mouths of fire that still erupt lava.
Suggested itinerary:
1 Milazzo – Vulcano island > Mud baths, hot springs beach “Spiaggia delle Fumarole”, ramble to vulcano with a guide
2 Vulcano – Panarea > Stop at Grotta del Amore, island of Basiluzzo, lunch at Cala Junco, night at anchor facing Panarea
3 Panarea – Stromboli > San Vincenzo town visit, watertoys, night view of volcanic eruption
4 Stromboli – Lipari > Lunch Spaggia a Praïa di Vinci
5 Lipari – Salina > Lunch Polara Cove, night face to Malfa
6 Salina – Filicudi > anchor in Capo Graziano
7 Filicudi – Alicudi > Island ramble (very natural)
