Day 1: ATHENS – KYTHNOS – SYROS

Kythnos can claim one of the oldest known dwellings in the Cyclades islands. Unspoilt island with more than 70 beaches, many of which are still inaccessible by land. The two charming inland villages, Chora (Kythnos town) and the lively little Dryopis, can best be visited by scooter or bicycle. The two main ports are Merichas and Loutra. Merichas — just a few minutes’ sail from the oddly shaped Sandbar Bay — is the smaller of the two. Loutra, to the northeast, today also has a new port that provides the best Meltemi wind protection on the island

Day 2: SYROS – MYKONOS

Syros is the island where Greek tradition and Western influence come to a harmonious marriage. The capital of the island Ermoupoli was the first major commercial and industrial center of the country in the nineteenth century. The large number of beautiful beaches will delight lovers of sea and sand. Mykonos‘ nickname is The Island of Winds. Tourism is an important industry and Mykonos is well known for its vibrant nightlife. Mykonos has many bays, which are well protected from the usual north winds, where water sports and snorkeling activities are possible. A walk through the main town is strongly recommended, with typical Cycladic houses, alleys and windmills.

Beyond the port, you will find two other settlements, Hora (or rope), built on a hill with great views, and the small Messaria to the north. The numerous beaches are a great asset of Schinoussa. Psili Ammos is the most secular and Livadi is a large beach with crystal clear waters and is actually one of the most popular beaches on the island.

It is famous for its lively nightlife with countless bars, cafes, clubs and restaurants and for its beaches with crystal clear water. The small port of Ios, with the domed church of St. Irini (seventeenth century) is located in a sheltered bay on the west coast of the island. Ios embodies the classic Greek island atmosphere: hilly clusters of white blue-roofed buildings, an amphitheater, golden beaches spilling into the sapphire sea.
