If you want to be free in the management of the boat and want to drive it personally as you have a boat license, choose bareboat charter. If, on the other hand, you prefer others to take care of all the tasks of managing the boat, then it is better to opt for crewed charter. You will have at your disposal captain, hostess and all the staff you want to guarantee you maximum comfort and relaxation during your yacht holiday.
The choice of the most suitable boat depends on many factors: budget, size, group composition, nautical experience and last but not least personal tastes in terms of aesthetics or preference for a specific shipyard or model.
In general, the higher the desired level of comfort, the greater the budget available. With the same number of cabins and passengers, larger boats offer not only more surface area, but also greater interior height. The year of construction is also a significant factor. Compared to a boat in excellent state of maintenance but dated, the most recent models are generally equipped with more advanced technical solutions and with better performance thanks to new engines.

Sailing is suitable for those who love silence, are not in a hurry and appreciate the journey as much as the arrival at their destination. If, on the other hand, you want to move quickly and travel long distances, a motor boat is better. It should also be borne in mind that, for the same length, motor boats are more spacious, but more expensive than monohull sailboats both for rental price and fuel consumption.
After an initial contact in which we have acquired your requests and preferences, we will send you some proposals that will be discussed in detail. Once you have chosen the optimal solution, we will be ready to prepare your reservation according to the following scheme:
We send a charter contract with the details of the boat, the chosen dates, the destination, the sailing plan and the cost.
The contract will be returned signed and, before making the first payment, you will receive a copy signed by the shipping company. The contract will indicate the terms and conditions of payment
The balance is normally expected one month before the start of the rental. At the same time, we will ask you to send us an advance on the additional expenses, called APA, necessary to cover the purchase of provisions, fuel, taxes and costs of delivery/redelivery, mooring and deposit or other costs not included in the initial agreement.
We will also attach a questionnaire to collect the details of your trip: the list of people, preferences or special needs not previously agreed. All this information will be used to prepare the boat on your arrival ready with the correct equipment, provisions, sports equipment and any special preparations in case of birthdays, weddings and surprise parties.
The funds are immediately sent to the owner so that you can make the necessary purchases ready upon your arrival. The captain will deduct from the advance the expenses chargeable to you incurred during the charter period, will constantly inform you about the progress of the expenses, if necessary he will ask you for a replenishment and, upon returning the boat, will return the remaining unused funds.
In the case of an all-inclusive rental, or depending on what is detailed in the agreement, the APA may not be necessary.
You will be assisted at all times (24 hours a day), including while browsing, and if you have any problems, doubts or any request for information, you can contact us and we will do our best to meet your needs.
No. Many ship owners prefer one-week rentals. As a rule, but not always, the daily price is a little higher than 1/6 of the weekly price, because this type of flexibility is a cost for the operator. It is sometimes possible to book a short charter with some difficulty if it is related to the high season.
Charter costs vary depending on the location, the season, the number of guests, the distances traveled, the days spent in the ports and the level of luxury offered. Prices will be reported either as “all inclusive” or “plus expenses”.
All inclusive
The charter cost includes the use of the yacht, the captain and crew, all meals and non-alcoholic beverages on board (standard bar from the ship), as well as the use of leisure equipment. Diving may have an additional fee, as well as the request for wines and / or special spirits.
Plus expenses
A guideline often used for estimating expenses is to add 25% to 35% of the cost of the base rental. Taxes are not included in the base rate. When chartering on a “plus charges” basis, the captain will keep you informed of the costs to be incurred such as fuel, port and mooring charges, communication charges, provisions and consumption of wine and spirits. A detailed report will be provided at the end of the rental.
The itinerary is based on the client’s preferences in relation to the activities they wish to do. Many destinations are personally well known to us and we are therefore able to give good advice. The crew knows very well the destinations they sail to and will manage the cruise to best meet expectations.
The ways to experience the sea are many and it is important to choose a boat and a crew that adapt to your own. If you want a cruise of absolute rest, it is preferable a crew composed of at least skipper and hostess, who take care entirely of both navigation and the preparation of meals and cleaning of common areas. On luxury boats, a crew of 3 or more will guarantee a first-class on-board service, with daily tidying up of the cabins and cuisine worthy of the best restaurants.
The menus are drawn up according to your dietary preferences. On crewed charters, on board, professional chefs are excellent and can typically handle multiple diets and, with suitably anticipated requests, stock the galley adequately to prepare any dish you desire.
Some boats are equipped for water sports such as snorkeling, scuba diving, water skiing, windsurfing, kayaking, fishing.
The water sports equipment available to the yacht is usually included in the charter. Some activities such as diving and paragliding that require agreements with local sports centers are extra and can be arranged by your crew. It is a good idea to always define your needs in advance so that they can be regulated by the agreement.
The crew is always able to recommend activities on land such as visits to cities or places of interest, trekking and more.
