Yacht charter in Croatia: suggested itinerary from Dubrovnik

Day 1: Dubrovnik
A city full of incredible history and timeless wonders, Dubrovnik marks the beginning of your sailing adventure.
Visiting guests will find it hard not to be enchanted by the charm of the city of Dubrovnik. The limestone streets are dotted with cultural and historical heritage, including the famous Rector’s Palace and the fortification walls that line the city’s border. Climb the hills by cable car and stop for lunch with views of the Panorama.
If you happen to be here in July, you can’t help but check out the famous Dubrovnik Summer Festival. This seven-week celebration of culture, music and art lights up the city with celebration and joy, creating an unbeatable atmosphere to immerse yourself in during your yacht vacation.

Day 2: Direction Mijet
We recommend dining on board your yacht or going ashore and savouring delicious cuisine at Nautika, a superb seafood restaurant.
After an evening in Dubrovnik, wake up refreshed and ready for the west crossing to Mijet Island. This secluded sanctuary is partly covered by the National Park, serving as a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Drop anchor and enjoy the many opportunities to snorkel, bike or kayak.
The island is home to a couple of beautiful lakes, each surrounded by bijou beaches that make for an unrivalled relaxing day under the Mediterranean sun. In the middle of one of the lakes is a small rocky outpost, on which stands the Benedictine monastery of the island of St Marys. Here, you can visit a small museum of “Game of Thrones” and a café serving refreshing drinks and ice cream.

Day 3: Island Lastovo
Perfectly untouched, the island of Lastovo is one of Croatia’s best kept secrets. Having only recently opened to foreign yachts, the island of Lastovo is still a new destination added to the yacht charter itinerary in Croatia. However, it is bound to quickly become popular, thanks to its incredible landscapes and numerous dive spots. Surrounded by a plethora of islets and home to miles of pristine beaches, Lastovo is the perfect place to drop anchor and sunbathe from the deck of your yacht. Have fun with the water games or go ashore for a picnic on the beach. There is a local market on the island where you can buy fresh fish; Ask the yacht’s chef to prepare a nice dinner with the loot of local fishermen.

Day 4:
Discovering the island of Vis
What Vis lacks in development is more than made up for by rustic charm and rugged beauty.
Sailing further west, your crewed yacht charter will take you to Vis. The tiny Croatian island of Vis gets a star in the sequel to Mamma Mia, putting its clear aquamarine waters, brick-red roofs, and pine-covered grounds in the center. The island is a real secret and must-visit place for any private yacht charter in the Eastern Mediterranean.
Those who wish to sail into the sea and cool off will be well catered for, as Vis is home to water so clear that it resembles polished glass, with pebble beaches adding to the charm of this nautical destination. Among the most famous beaches on the island is Stiniva Beach, framed by steep cliffs 35 meters high.

Day 5:
Immerse yourself in the beauty of Hvar
Go ashore to experience Hvar, an island that balances Old World beauty with lively buzz.
Hvar is easily mistaken for a tropical oasis, with crystal clear waters and palm trees lining the central marina.
Once you get off the yacht, soak up the scenes and views of Hvar by taking a stroll through the town’s winding streets, cool and narrow and lined with picturesque planters. So, be sure to stop and visit the Renaissance-era cathedral in the heart of Hvar and cool off with a nice ice cream and/or cup of coffee overlooking the central square.

Day 6: The famous Brac beach
One of the most photographed beaches in Croatia is Zlatni Rat, a triangle of golden sand surrounded by shades of turquoise.
Within walking distance of Hvar is the island of Brac, which is home to numerous beautiful beaches and places for snorkeling and swimming. One such beach is Zlatni Rat, which translates to “golden horn” in Croatian.
The Mediterranean pine forests create a lovely setting that is popular with both yacht-goers and locals. One side of the island generally feels more wind and attracts surfers. The other is quieter and perfect for paddling or enjoying a light meal overlooking the blue Adriatic.

Day 7: Towards Trogir
Enjoy an overnight cruise to Trogir and wake up to the emerald water surrounded by beautiful views of Trogir’s Venetian-style city.
Be sure to climb on the deck of your superyacht to admire your arrival in Trogir. The city is tinged with canals and waterways, with red-roofed houses huddled along the waterfront and numerous examples of Baroque architecture scattered throughout the city.
Those looking for a dose of Dalmatian culture and history will find it in Trogir, where you can easily spend a day strolling along the water or getting lost in the labyrinthine marble streets.

Day 8: Disembarkation in Split
Your charter boat adventure ends in Split, Croatia’s second largest city and one of the Adriatic’s certified nautical centers.
Even if your yacht charter has come to an end: Split offers a lively mix of things to see and do to keep you busy, The city is famous for its crystal clear seas and beaches that can be visited with ease, even from the heart of the city.
Visitors to Split should consider a visit to Diocletian’s Palace, an ancient remnant of Roman influence on Croatia, a priority. It is certainly the best preserved piece of Roman architecture in the world and features impressive walls and turrets throughout.
