Recommended itinerary Ionian Islands

Day 1: Corfu
Your crew will welcome you on board in the picturesque town of Corfu. From Venetian fortresses and British mansions to grand royal palaces and refined French arcades, a stroll through Corfu’s Old Town is like taking a mini-walk through Europe! Full of attractive villages with pretty painted houses and excellent beaches, the island really has a lot to entertain you! Thanks to its rich multicultural heritage, its historical monuments, its beautiful natural landscape, its crystal clear seas and its excellent climate all year round.

Day 2: Paxos
Once you’ve had your fill of Corfu, the beautiful island of Paxos awaits you. According to Greek mythology, Poseidon separated Paxos from Corfu with his trident to create a love nest for him and his wife.
Sail to the spectacular Emritis Cliffs along the northwest coast. Drop anchor in a quiet bay or with the tender comes to shore to enjoy the beautiful beaches.
Enjoy a nice lunch with fresh local products you will simply be thrilled.

Day 3: Anti Paxos and Lefkas
The steep cliff of Lefkada (The White Cape) juts dramatically into the sea, pointing towards distant Kefalonia. At the tip of the lighthouse once stood a temple for Apollo. The capital reflects the history of the island, of Venetian influence in its dignified churches and houses. The thirteenth-century fortress of Santa Maura overlooks sandy beaches where windmills and trees seem to rise directly from the open sea. Your captain will suggest the best spots where you can take a relaxing swim or to spend some active time enjoying the yacht’s water features.

Day 4: Lefkas and Meganisi
The strait between Meganisi and Lefkas is one of the most beautiful channels of the Ionian Sea with the high steep slopes of Lefkas on one side and the lower and gentler slopes of Meganisi. The northern side of Meganisi is characterized by several natural harbors and enclosed bays. Most of the bays are surrounded by olive and cypress trees with crystal clear water – a combination that makes them popular with yachts, offering a little more solitude outside of July and August. On the SW coast of Meganisi, on the “tail” of the island, there are a number of caves and even some fishing areas to have around this part of the island.

Day 5: Ithaka
Off the northeastern coast of Kefalonia lies the island of Ithaca, mythical birthplace of Homer’s hero Ulysses. Then sail to Homer’s Ithaca. Its relaxed character, emerald waters and lush vegetation make it perfect for relaxation. In addition to enjoying the yacht, water features, sun, and delicious food, also go on a visit to the city — explore the Cave of the Nymphs, the Fountain of Arethusa, and the palace of Ulysses. Towards the evening stop to eat at the taverns that line the ports, the crew will suggest the most typical ones to enjoy an evening on land!

Day 6: Kefalonia
The largest island of the Ionian Sea is Kefalonia. A well-known capital and central city of which Argostoli is considered one of the busiest ports in Greece. In antiquity it was part of the kingdom of Odysseus and evidence has been found in the archaeological sites mentioned by Homer. The most interesting ruins are those of Krani. You can have a truly amazing and memorable experience by visiting Koutavos Lagoon, where you can see a feeding ground for Caretta Caretta turtles.

Day 7: Zakynthos
Usually known as “Zakynthos”, Zakynthos is the third largest island in the Ionian Sea. Famous for the world-award-winning beach called “Navagio”, a bay on the northwest coast isolated by high cliffs and accessible only by boat, Zakynthos is ideal for both family and sailing holidays. Take some time and stroll through Zakynthos Town, which is also the capital of the island, walking through a picturesque pedestrian zone of busy bars and restaurants throughout the year, to enjoy the last evening of your holiday in the Ionian Islands.
