Yacht Charter Liguria and Cinque Terre
Liguria is a region with many facets: nature, sea, mountains, culture but also fun and social life. The great resource of Liguria is the sea, with its rocky coasts interrupted by small coves where there are pretty small beaches of fine sand. One of the best ways to discover this wonderful land is on board a yacht by choosing the “Ligurian Riviera and Cinque Terre” itinerary. The most famous tourist resorts of Liguria: Portofino, Santa Margherita Ligure, Rapallo, Sestri Levante and Chiavari. A sea so beautiful as to attract numerous specimens of sperm whales, fin whales and dolphins that in this area, called the “Cetacean Sanctuary”, have found their natural habitat where they can live in total safety.
Cinque Terre – the charm of the five seaside villages Manarola, Riomaggiore, Corniglia, Vernazza and Monterosso al Mare. Those who visit the Cinque Terre will be enchanted by the beauty of an absolutely uncontaminated sea, but also by the mainland, where a wild nature, interspersed with rows of vines, expanses of olive and citrus groves, testifies how man has been able to link his life and his traditions to this stretch of coast.
The ancient nucleus of Monterosso al Mare is perched on a hill from which you can enjoy a splendid panorama. To see the ancient Castle, the Church of San Giovanni Battista and the Capuchin Convent. The modern area has developed in the lower part called Fegina, with a pretty beach from which you can admire the “Giant”, a statue depicting the god Neptune 14 meters high.
Riomaggiore: the most visited village of the Cinque Terre and the first you meet coming from La Spezia. From here begins a suggestive path, carved into the rock in the early twentieth century, which leads to Manarola: it is the famous Via dell’Amore. Another itinerary not to be missed is the Blue Trail that crosses the Cinque Terre National Park.
Vernazza is home to a characteristic marina confirming its ancient maritime traditions. The defensive constructions are joined by more elegant architectures made of decorated portals and arcades, overlooking the narrow alleys that descend steeply towards the port square. Interesting a visit to the Parish Church of Santa Maria di Antiochia, the Sanctuary of the Madonna di Reggio and the Doria Castle.
Manarola, perched on the rock overlooking the sea, is one of the best examples of how man has been able to tame this wild and rocky land, building his own houses and creating terraces to be dedicated to the cultivation of orchards and vineyards. Unique views can be admired from the promontory of Punta Bonfiglio or from the Sanctuary of Nostra Signora della Salute di Volastra.
Through a long staircase, perhaps a bit tiring but very suggestive, you get to the top of a promontory covered with vineyards: here is Corniglia, a land of excellent wines such as Cinque Terre DOC, La Polenza and the famous Sciacchetrà . At the foot of the promontory, a wonderful sea laps the famous beach of Givano, a favorite destination for naturists.
